DENTAL FILLINGS

We only use white fillings. These can be composites, compomers or glass ionomer cements. Which material is used where depends on many factors, which we discuss with you individually.

Composites are high-quality synthetic materials that are also used in adult treatment. We use them for all permanent teeth as well as for milk teeth if they need to last for many years.

Compomers are a mixture of composites and glass ionomer cements and are used when a high-quality filling is required, but it "has to be done quickly" due to a lack of cooperation, for example. These fillers are slightly less prone to errors but almost as good.

Glass ionomer cements are primarily suitable as long-term temporaries, as they are not as durable as composites.
